At that point, the only release was a public alpha, brought to fruition by qurlix, which functioned as little more than a proof-of-concept. The “R” in “RHW” has stood for “Real” for a few years now, but way back then, it stood for “Rural”, a makeshift designation that the developers quickly found inadequate, but lingered with the general public for some time. As many readers of this blog may know, I’ve been a part of the NAM Team for a number of years now (this next February will mark 7 years), and one of the main projects I’ve been involved with as part of that is the RHW ( Real High way) system.
